Oracle Corporation' SMB Strategy Gains Global Momentum with Accelerated Recruitment of Partners

New European, Latin American and North American Partners Provide SMBs with Regional Expertise for Simple and Cost-effective Customer Management Solutions

SAN MATEO, Calif.-September 12, 2005 - Oracle Corporation Inc. (NASDAQ: SEBL), a leading provider of customer-facing solutions, today announced strong global momentum in the Small and Medium Business (SMB) market. Driven by the launch of its SMB initiative in December 2004, Oracle has recruited 56 channel and 35 technology alliance partners worldwide.

Oracle's SMB-tailored solutions - delivered either as packaged or hosted software - combined with the expertise of regional partners - has contributed to strong customer and partner penetration. With an installed base of more than 1,800 SMB customers worldwide, Oracle Corporation is strengthening its channel management and marketing team to respond to growing demand.

"The extensive interest we are now seeing from SMB customers validates that we have the right combination of technology and partners," said Andrew Moore, Regional Vice President, OnDemand and SMB, EMEA, at Oracle Corporation. "SMBs want to deal with local partners who understand their market. This is exactly what we provide with our channel program. Signing the best partners to provide this local expertise ensures that we can provide the best service to our growing SMB customer base. Our goal is to provide the same full training and technical support for partners that our internal sales people would receive, while also enabling 100% fulfilment of product through the channel. This eliminates conflict with partners and provides wide geographic reach."

"We have committed to our channel and technology partners in a way that is rarely seen in the SMB market," said Catherine Cherubino, Vice President, Channels and Alliances, OnDemand and SMB, Oracle Corporation. "We developed the latest branding features in Release 9, as well as upcoming customization functionality, with our partners in mind. Furthermore, we have created a team selling approach that leverages the combined interest and investments of Oracle and its partners. This includes our new certification program, which provides partners with an additional competitive edge, and the assurance that they possess the highest levels of business knowledge."

Oracle Corporation has signed 56 resellers globally in less than a year, including 36 in Europe, 12 in North America, and eight in Latin America. With a particular emphasis in Europe and Latin America, the Oracle SMB Partner program is well on its way to surpassing 2005 projections. Many of these new partners are sizeable organizations providing extensive coverage across a wide range of industry sectors and geographical regions. New partners signed include Mexon Technologies in France; SIG and Visual Metrix in the UK; Sistemi Informativi (a subsidiary of IBM) in Italy; Base de Datos BD Consoltores in Costa Rica; Grupo Unione in Brazil and Chile, Qualita de Mexico S.A. in Mexico; and Hambra and Revelent in North America.

These new partners will all benefit from Oracle's commitment to a team-selling approach. In addition, they will all be able to participate in Oracle's CRM On Demand certification program. Partners also have access to technical consultants for implementation and integration, channel managers, and a unique team selling approach that ensures successful engagements.

"Oracle has demonstrated its strategy of prioritizing on quality versus quantity in building its channel program partnerships," said Simonetta Moreschini, Vice General Manager of Sistemi Informativi. "This enables partnerships such as ours to benefit both parties due to their emphasis on shared commitment, including shared goals and marketing investments. This clearly indicated to us that being a Oracle partner is a serious business opportunity. We view CRM in Italy as a growth opportunity, and having access to all of Oracle's training, sales tools and marketing support makes it easier for us to meet our targets and grow our business."
